The Shoot is bringing a team of industry professionals and young aspiring filmmakers to sunny Portugal to create something amazing together.
Filmmaking is a team sport.
The best way to learn a subject is to surround yourself with people willing to share their knowledge and show you how it's done.
Camera and Lights, Sound, Production, Directing and BTS,
5 teams, each consisting of 1 professional and 3 apprentices.
The project will run as a real movie production set, creating a very high-quality short film which will then be submitted to festivals around the globe.

We have put together a team of talented, award-winning industry professionals who are not only great at what they do, but also used to teaching their craft.
Support from one of the best.
Craig Viveiros is an award-winning British / Portuguese film and television director. He's directed the critically acclaimed ‘Breathtaking’, Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None', BAFTA-winning ‘Rillington Place', and ‘The War of the Worlds'.
Craig also founded 5iveFs, a collaborative community project committed to uniting artists from around the globe in the creation of innovative and original content across various mediums.
It is through 5iveFs that Craig is supporting this project.

Deep in central Portugal, there is a beautiful place that offers a large variety of filming locations.
This is where the team will be staying and working.
The right tools for the job.
We have partnered with some of Portugal's biggest film equipment rental houses to outfit this production with some of the industry's best filmmaking equipment.
Pirates of the Caribbean, The House of The Dragon,
and Fast and Furious X are just some of the productions that have rented equipment from them.
Money talk.
We are providing this experience to young filmmakers for free. There's no catch ;)
We believe that education should not be hidden behind a paywall and we are excited to use this project as a way to shine a light on talented filmmakers, regardless of their financial background.
